• Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in the US, and fifth leading cause of death in individuals 65 and older
• More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease
• 1 out of 9 people 65 or older have Alzheimer’s disease
• 1 out of 3 people over 85 have the disease
• By 2025, the number of people age 65 and      older with Alzheimer’s disease is estimated to reach 6.7 million
• Alzheimer’s is THE MOST expensive disease in America 
• Alzheimer's is a brain disease that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. It is the most common form of dementia and is not a normal part of aging. The majority of Alzheimer's patients are 65 and older. Alzheimer's worsens over time and has no current cure, but treatments for symptoms are available and research continues.
